Some may say that my home screen is too busy, but this is, uh, actually toned down. I used to have busier seascape pics from the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! app but switched to the cityscapes instead which are still... bright. Sometimes. I even got rid of my folders!

I worked hard in tweaking my home screen widgets and the assorted transparency layers in Nova Launcher Prime to be cohesive. And I used to have a bunch of folders on my home screen but I used the app drawer folders to consolidate the drawer, and only put my most used apps on the home screen, of which there are still several.

And yes I do still have the Photo folder on the phone screen but I’m a photo nerd and have my most-used but not all my photo apps in there. The main camera icon and the double-press power button launch !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (Arnova’s v8.3b1) , but the Photo folder has the stock Essential camera app for portrait and B&W modes , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for zapping photos over from my good camera, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Ignore the part where the background doesn’t line up, that’s an artifact from the scrolling screenshot made by !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Scrolling screenshots were a cool idea I liked from Samsung and while having a separate app isn’t as slick, it works well enough and I might even pay to remove ads. I very rarely pay for apps so take that as you will.

Nothing overly unique or exciting, especially once past the lock screen. I like simple backgrounds so I can clearly see my apps.

I hate apps and cluttered screens. I have a total of three folders on my screen to the right.

After I read this I was able to (finally) figure out how to delete the label for the folder.  It’s even less cluttered now.

My lock screen is just me and my GF. It used to be a beautiful picture of an M3 but she told me that my phone didn’t ward off enough ladies.

I’ve got an old Samsung Galaxy Core LTE, dual clocks because I talk to Borsuq in Poland a lot and it helps me forget it’s a million o’clock where he is when it’s only afternoon here. :P

Actually, for the age and spec of it (Android 4.4.2) it actually still works perfectly fine. Probably really insecure considering it’s Android 4.4.2 compared to the current version, but it d oes all I need it to do and it’s not even that slow (and I leave it on the first level of Power Saving mode all the time which even throttles the CPU!) .

My only niggle with it is that Google Speech to Text doesn’t work right anymore (it will listen to the first few words you say, then keep saying it’s ‘Listening’, yet make the ‘done listening’ double-beep and not type any more words). It used to work fine, but stopped after an update, so I don’t think it’s the phone’s fault....I’ve tried everything I can find to make it work properly again, but no dice.

Otherwise, I can still do Discord....Steam chat, Whatsapp, Slack, etc etc....got it used from some guy off Kijiji for $50 two years ago...can’t complain! :)

Muahahahahaha that font was one of the things I missed about having a Samsung phone (that and AMOLED). Fite me. :P
